Christmas Day
Christmas Day started bright and early at 5 AM when the kids woke up ready to hit the ground running. Chris kept the kids from charging downstairs while I took a shower and then made myself a delicious Snickerdoodle latte. Merry Christmas to me! (Anna gave me this really beautiful Harry Potter mug and the barista kit for my espresso maker so I can make my coffee twice as quickly now - Thanks, Anna!)
Clark was immediately deeply focused and lost in his Christmas gifts. Bekah picked out a Lego dragon set that took him most of the day. It was an intricate articulating dragon, actually. I'll have to take a picture of it completed. It is really cool.
Clark also really loved the Bey Blades battling tops that Dad picked out.
Bekah was thrilled to have an Anna dress. This girl loves to change clothes - dress up, regular, whatever she can find. :)
Unfortunately, shortly after I took this picture, she started feeling very sick and spent most of the afternoon curled up on the couch with a fever and bodyaches. Poor baby.
Quinn played with her baby doll and her new kitchen set. Notice that she gave her baby an entire carton of milk.
Quinn was NOT thrilled that Bekah got a new baby doll for Christmas too and spent a significant amount of the morning screaming at Bekah so she could steal the baby doll's pacifier for herself. (Not sure what that's about as she self-weaned from a pacifier at least 4 months ago)
The bouncy dog was another Quinn favorite. "Puppy!"
The kids wanted to make a Christmas birthday cake for Jesus. They picked out a Christmas funfetti cake and chose bright blue vanilla frosting with rocket ship, moon, and star sprinkles. You know, very Jesus-y. :)
Quinn's fingers may be permanently be stained blue, but by some miracle we did manage to get the blue off her face.
And of course, there was a second coffee! Look at the crema on that espresso shot!
